Local heroes Tom Beckhäuser and Vaclav Safar want to get on the podium

Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup - Autodrom Most (CZE)

The Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup comes to its fourth round in the Czech Republic (28-30 June). Only one week after the 3rd race in Imola, the Autodrom Most will be the next event. This will also be a premiere of a special kind for the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup. For the first time the NASCAR Whelen Euroseries will be held in the Czech Republic and will certainly cause a sensation. With ex-Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve and ex-DTM pilot EllenLohr the European NASCAR has some celebrities to offer. The more than 400 hp V8 engines of the NASCAR generation will give the fans goose bumps and the sound alone should be spectacular.

After the two races in Imola, there was no big breather for the teams in the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup this week. Two Czech Formula drivers in particular are looking forward to the home race in Most. In Formula 3, Tom Beckhäuser (Franz Wöss Racing) is hoping for a victory after having already been successful at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. For the season premiere Vaclav Safar (LUTOPOL Racing) comes to Most with the Formula Renault. Like his compatriot, he also has his sights set on a podium finish. The Autodrom Most is one of some drivers' favourite circuits in Formula 3 and Formula Renault. The track offers slow and fast corners, simply a mix that always goes down well with the drivers. After Imola, Sandro Zeller (Jo Zeller Racing) remains the hunted. With his one-two victory last weekend, the Swiss has already created a cushion of points for himself. Behind him is a duel between Antoine Bottiroli (GForce Racing) and Andrea Cola (Monolite Racing). Kurt Böhlen (Franz Wöss Racing) and Marcel Tobler (Jo Zeller Racing) belong to the extended circle of favourites. A triathlon has developed in Formula Renault since then. Dr.Norbert Groer, Simon Stoller and Nico Gruber (all Team Hoffmann Racing) are the closest favourites. Florian Münger (Jo Zeller Racing) leads the Formula 3 Trophy classification. Behind them it's close. Luca Iannaccone (Franz Wöss Racing), Dr. Ralph Pütz (Belicon Motorsport) and Urs Rüttimann (Jo Zeller Racing) are three drivers within striking distance of the Swiss.

Zeller and Pütz have dominated the sub-rankings so far

In the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup 2019 two sub-ratings are integrated. In the RAVENOL Formula 3 Cup Dr.Ralph Pütz (Belicon Motorsport) currently leads the table. In 2019, the Swiss Formula drivers will again score points in the SWISS Formula 3 Cup, which is supported by HORAG. Sandro Zeller (Jo Zeller Racing) is the front runner in the table.

On Friday (28.06.) the first qualifying for the Drexler-Automotive Formula Cup will take place at 11.30 a.m.. The 1st race will take place on Saturday (29.06.) at 11.25 am. On Sunday (30.06.), the Formula 3 and Formula Renault drivers will have to get in early. The 2nd qualifying is scheduled for 8.00 am. Around 16.50 o'clock the 2nd race is on schedule.
